LOCAL APPLICANTS

NO FEES PAYABLE

Caregivers currently on an LCP Work Permit, can only be placed on a Live-In basis. However, IF they choose they can switch over to the CAREGIVER work visa program to work on either a Live-In OR Live-Out basis. Should you choose to switch over to the Caregiver Program, be sure to check all details first to ensure that you do not loose credit towards your Permanent Resident Status application for the months you have already completed in Canada! All those whose Employers submitted applications to ESDC prior to Nov. 30, 2014 and received LMIA approval for an LCP Caregiver, will continue to be regulated under the LCP Work Visa program unless they chose to switch programs and obtain a new Work Permit after arrival in Canada.

Those on the CAREGIVER Work Visa positions may work on a Live-In or a Live-Out basis and their wages will follow the Median Guideline as per the National Job Bank’s National Occupational Classification number posted on their website at: National Classification. This wage varies depending on the Classification of the job as well as area of the province where the work is being preformed.

We also place CANADIAN CITIZENS, PERMANENT RESIDENTS and those on an OPEN WORK PERMIT:

LIVE-IN: – Full Time, on a long term or short term basis

LIVE-OUT: – Full Time & Permanent Part Time, on a long term or short term basis
 – TLC Temporary Care – casual sitting

All Local Applicants, looking for Live-In or Live-Our work, are personally interviewed, usually in person, but occasionally on Skype.. Beginning in late January, on line applications will be available to those currently placed through Trafalgar Personnel Limited or who recently completed a placement with a TPL Employer Family,  have good references and are looking for a new employer. Please call the office in advance to confirm a date and time for personal interview if possible. Applicants are required to provide the following:

1) Copies of any work related references you have, and the name, full mailing address, phone contact and/or e-mail address of current and previous employers.

2) A small photo (head shot) of yourself for your application if possible.

3) Any pertinent documents/certificates you have – i.e. valid First Aid & CPR certification / ECE or NNEB Diploma / PSW certification / French or English language certification, driver’s licence etc.

4) Your current Work Permit or legal status in Canada if you are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Agency Policy requires that we contact current/previous employers directly in order to obtain Reference Check Reports. These reports are very important and must be on file before an application is complete and able to be shown to prospective employer clients. If we have difficulty obtaining your screening reports, we will contact you to discuss the situation.

We will discuss any questions you have at your interview. Those on an LCP or Caregiver Work Permit will receive further information on the process for obtaining a new work permit and links to pertinent government websites.
